I had the pleasure to meet two young gentlemen from Chicago, Edward James and Johnathan Lykes, while attending Blogging While Brown this year. I asked them about brochures being passed out concerning their blog, blackyouthproject.com. While perusing facebook recently, I stumbled across theblackmancan.org: An organization focused on the sole mission of actively promoting a positive Black male image. Chief Visionary Officer Brandon Frame harbors a passion for encouraging young Black men and is a testament of how to get involved positively. The website offers mentoring and positive Black male news.

Finding the Black and Missing
It is widely held that a huge disparity exists in effort to find missing black people than other ethnic groups. Now, there is a website dedicated to maximizing exposure in finding our people. The Black and Missing Foundation, Inc. has been providing safety resources, reporting services, and a TIP line since 2008.
